Celtic and UCL Draw – A Fans View

Celtic are back in the big time and once again we find ourselves in the group of death.

Champions League draw in full

Group A: Paris St-Germain, Arsenal, Basel, Ludogorets

Group B: Benfica, Napoli, Dynamo Kyiv, Besiktas

Group C: Barcelona, Manchester City, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Celtic

Group D: Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, PSV Eindhoven, FC Rostov

Group E: CSKA Moscow, Bayer Leverkusen, Tottenham Hotspur, Monaco

Group F: Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Sporting Lisbon, Legia Warsaw

Group G: Leicester, Porto, Club Brugge, FC Copenhagen

Group H: Juventus, Sevilla, Lyon, Dinamo Zagreb

I for one would have loved to have landed into Group G where we would have a bloody good chance of getting to the last sixteen but as always we have to do things the hard way.

Excluding the away leg at Hapoel Beer Sheva, Celtic have been playing vvery well, so well that I believe we are approaching as good a team as the Bhoys who last beat Barcelona, once that defence is sorted that is.

We have goal scorers, play makers and cracking wingers in the form on Sinclair and Roberts.

I would not be disappointed if we didn’t get to the last sixteen considering the competition, but I would be horrified if we didn’t go gun hoe and try our damnedest. And with the noise we all make on UCL nights at Paradise, I feel we can get something.

Man City are no strangers to a Champions League screw up and I would hope we could take some points from them at home, same with the Germans. Barcelona, anything is a bonus.

I am hoping that with the sudden cash influx we can bolster the back 4 and shut the door to the big boys in Europe like Messi and Aguero.

All that said, let’s make some noise, have some fun and sing louder than any other team in Europe and show why Celtic Park is Paradise.

Money can buy Man City a league, but it doesn’t buy passion. So let’s do this and let’s do it singing our Bhoys on.

Hail Hail!🍀🍀🍀
